About the Office of Public Safety

The Office of Public Safety is a full-service campus police department that operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, from Mowbray Hall in Macomb, according to the university's website. It can be reached in a non-emergency at (309) 298-1949.

The university notes that crime log incidents may not match the crime statistics reported in its Annual Campus Security and Fire Safety Report under the federal Clery Act, because the log is compiled using the Illinois Crimes Code while the statistics use federal Uniform Crime Reporting definitions.
