The Illinois Department of Transportation will begin intermittent daytime lane and right shoulder closures on eastbound U.S. 24 in Peoria on Monday, Nov. 2, the agency announced.
At the same time, the ramp below the bridge to westbound U.S. 150 will close. Both closure locations are in Peoria.
IDOT said the closures are needed to repair a damaged bridge beam on eastbound U.S. 24 over the ramp from northbound Illinois 116 to westbound U.S. 150, about a mile east of the McClugage Bridge.
The closures and the project are expected to be completed in three weeks.
