Western Illinois University's Office of Public Safety reported one citation in its campus crime log covering Oct. 28 through Oct. 30, 2026.
On Oct. 30 at 4:15 p.m., Kayden Mohler, 19, of Thompson Hall 407, was issued a notice to appear for driving without insurance.

The department notes that incidents posted in the crime log may not match the crime statistics reported in the Annual Campus Security and Fire Safety Report under the federal Clery Act, because the crime log is compiled using the Illinois Criminal Code while the statistics use Federal Uniform Crime Reporting definitions. Under federal law, the office may withhold certain details — such as the nature, date, time, location or disposition — when disclosure is prohibited by law, would jeopardize a victim's confidentiality or an ongoing investigation, would allow a suspect to flee, or could result in the destruction of evidence.
All are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
