(SRN NEWS)- Nidal Hassan is scheduled to be put to death in December for murdering 13 people at Ford Hood in 2009 and the Defense Department had planned to provide a livestream.  The decision sparked a firestorm of controversy with leading clergymen and others divided on whether or not such a presentation was wise.  The president ended the debate by quashing the livestream.  Many Christians support the death penalty but a significant number do not.
