The Illinois Valley Community College Board approved a two-year contract with its faculty union, Local 1810 of the American Federation of Teachers, on Tuesday, the college said.

The contract includes a 3.5 percent raise โ€” in alignment with campus raises โ€” plus a 2 percent market adjustment for faculty covered by the agreement, for a total 5.5 percent increase in the first year and a 3.5 percent increase in the second year, according to the college.

The agreement also includes increases for overload pay, adjustments to the salary schedule for initial placement, and an updated Voluntary Retirement Incentive Program. The college said the fully executed contract will be posted on the IVCC website at www.ivcc.edu.

President's report

In her monthly report to the Board, IVCC President Dr. Tracy Morris said the college testing facility's services remain in high demand in the community. High-stakes licensing and certification tests by community members accounted for one-third of all tests administered by the IVCC Assessment Center in September 2026, she said.
