The Illinois Lottery has launched CASH POP, a new draw game in which matching a single selected number โ€” called a "POP" โ€” can win players a cash prize.

The game is available now online and at nearly 7,000 retail locations across Illinois, the Lottery said. It joins HotWins, which launched in November 2025, as part of the Lottery's lineup of high-frequency draw games, with drawings held every hour from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.

"CASH POP brings another exciting game to Illinois, giving players a new, fun way to play," said Harold Mays, director of the Illinois Lottery. "As we continue to evolve the Lottery experience, we're focused on offering games that are engaging, easy to play and available across both retail and digital platforms."

How to play

Players can select between one and 15 POPs, choose a wager of $1, $2, $5 or $10 per POP, and decide how many draws to play, according to the Lottery. Players win by matching their selected POPs to the drawn POP to win the prize shown on their ticket.

Prize amounts are randomly assigned at the time of purchase based on the wager. A $1 wager can win a prize ranging from 5 times to 250 times the wager, up to $250, while a $10 wager can win up to $2,500. Selecting more POPs improves the odds of winning, while higher wagers offer the potential for larger prizes, the Lottery said.

Players must be 18 or older. More information, including how to play and game odds, is available at IllinoisLottery.com.
