An Illinois iLottery player has won $1,809,642 playing the FastPlay Ultimate Diamond Jackpot game, the Illinois Lottery announced Tuesday.
The prize marks the second-largest FastPlay prize awarded so far this year, following a $3.3 million jackpot won online in July, according to the lottery. It also ranks as the sixth-largest FastPlay prize awarded since the game launched in 2020.
Ultimate Diamond Jackpot is a $30 progressive FastPlay game. The jackpot starts at $75,000 and grows with each ticket sold statewide until it is won. Players have a chance to win the jackpot or other cash prizes.
So far this year, players statewide have purchased nearly 7.5 million winning FastPlay tickets, claiming more than $158 million in prizes, the lottery said. Winners have one year from the date of purchase to claim their prizes.
