Construction on the Illinois 2 bridge over the Rock River south of Grand Detour will begin Monday, Oct. 26, weather permitting, the Illinois Department of Transportation announced.
The work will repair the bridge deck, IDOT said.
One lane of traffic will remain open throughout the project and will be controlled by temporary traffic signals.
The project is scheduled to be completed by 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, according to IDOT.
