(SRN NEWS)- Several NGOs funded by the European Union are now calling for the establishment of a universal RIGHT to physician assisted suicide. The E.U.’s Intergovernmental Working Group on the Human Rights of Older Persons is working on a new treaty and the NGOs are urging that a suicide right be added to the document. A growing number of European nations allow a person to take his own life with a doctor’s aid and supporters want the practice to spread.
