July 21 (Reuters) – Airbus said on Tuesday it set a 2029 adjusted operating profit target of €12 billion to €13 billion ($13.69 billion-$14.83 billion) and announced a €5 billion share buyback programme over three years.
The targets would represent a near doubling of earnings from 2025 levels, as the world’s largest planemaker works to ramp up aircraft deliveries to meet strong demand while navigating supply-chain bottlenecks and engine shortages.
Airbus reported €7.13 billion in adjusted earnings before interest and taxes in 2025 and targets an EBIT of €7.5 billion this year.
